Why learn English?

English is one of the most widely spoken and commonly used languages, both in private and in corporate life. As a mother tongue, English is used by over 330 million people, plus 1.5 billion non-native speakers on all continents. Join this community and master a language you can use for communication worldwide.
The knowledge of English has become an inevitable part of all spheres of human life. From the earliest age, children watch cartoons and play with toys that 'speak' English. Young people communicate with their peers online, and business correspondence is conducted in English, while others feel the need to know this language, mostly due to the use of personal computers and online contents.

For all those who need to use English in their work, we offer Business English courses, comprising specialised texts and vocabulary necessary for communication with international partners. The prerequisite for attending this course is minimum B1 level of knowledge of general English. All those who opt for this course will be qualified to communicate with their business partners without major problems, using words and expressions from corporate life.

Since September 2006, Open University's curricula have been harmonised with the Common European Framework (CEF) standards of the Council of Europe, so that, depending on whether you want to start learning or improve your knowledge, we offer six levels of instruction in English.
