Project summary:
The European Film Festival Palić is the most important manifestation that takes place in Palić, as well as in the Subotica-Palić Micro-region. This cultural event, for its 19 years of existence, has managed to become one of the rare promoters of this place and region as a tourist destination at international level. Two years ago, an agreement has been reached with the „Park Palić“ Public Company to jointly act and actively promote the Subotica-Palić Micro-region on the international scene, in order to attract as many foreign visitors as possible.
Project activities are focused on a promo campaign that has an aim to cover the countries of the Western and Eastern Europe, with special emphasis on the region and the neighbouring countries. Therefore, activities will take place at 4 festivals in 3 countries: Germany, France and Croatia. Among project activities, that are focused on the promotion of the European Film Festival Palić and at the same time the Subotica-Palić Micro-region, there are visits to European film festivals in Berlin, Cannes, Paris, Vinkovci and Rijeka, which will contribute to the visibility of the potential of Palić, as a tourist destination. Following the presentation of Palić at the above-mentioned attractive, world-renowned cultural fairs, it is planned to bring representatives of several most prestigious European media companies, with the aim to visit the 20th European Film Festival Palić (13-19.07.2013) and to report about the Festival, thereby about Palić and the tourist offer of this area. In that way, the tourist offer of Serbia and Palić, just like the European Film Festival Palić will be presented to audiences of millions across Europe and the world.
