With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in December 2009 Open University Subotica started with implementation of the project "Education needs of agricultural producers in Vojvodina research”, with the aim of identifying primary areas of education needed by agricultural producers.
In October 2009, GM of Open University Subotica, Mr Blažo Perović, signed a contract with president of Čoka municipality Mr Predragom Mijićem, which regulates development of Feasibility Study for Food Innovation Center in Čoka.
The project was realized in the period between January and June 2008, on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, with the aim of monitoring and evaluation of the projects supported by the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth, as a part of the implementation of the AP Vojvodina’s Action Plan of Youth Policy in 2008.
The goal of the project, implemented between December 2006 and September 2007, was improvement of the efficacy and competitiveness of firms, support to development of new products and services and their diversification with the aim of market expansion and reduction of unemployment in the region.
The project was realized in February 2007, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad. The activities were directed towards the creation of educational materials and realization of training seminars for experts and consultants from agricultural departments.
