The applicants of the project Lifelong Education and Regional Networking – LEARN are the Open University Subotica doo, Job Seekers Association of the Bacs-Kiskun Country from Kecskemet.

 

The overall aim of the project LEARN is the support of harmonisation of economic and cultural cooperation of Vojvodina and Southern Hungary through the creation and implementation of educational programmes, which will result in the development of competency, employment and personal development of citizens in the cross-border region.


During the implementation of the project the Centre for the education of adults in Subotica and in Kecskemet will be opened, which will have an advisory function. The services of these centres will be free of charge for all unemployed citizens, which are interested in developing new skills and knowledge to find jobs easier.


The cooperation between Serbia and Hungary will also result in the creation of a new educational offer, which will serve the recorded needs of the unemployed on the labour market in the region. Within the project of the Open University Subotica and the Job Seekers Association Kecskemet 8 training programmes will be exchanged, 10 trainings will be implemented jointly for unemployed individuals, and one new joint curriculum will created, which will be introduced to the general educational offer of these two institutions.


The trainings, which will be organized during the implementation of the project LEARN:

  • Online language course of Hungarian and Serbian. 20 trainees will participate in this training in tandem.
  • 4 educational programmes from the general educational offer of the Open University Subotica in Kecskemet to 15 trainees per training.
  • 4 educational programmes from the general educational offer of the Job Seekers Association Kecskemet in Subotica to 15 trainees per training.

 

Start of the project implementation: 1st September 2010.
Provisional end of project implementation: 31st August 2011.
