Project description:

The aim of the project is to establish a strong network in order to create a sustainable model for young audience development and increase of demand for the European films through education and awareness raising activities.

The cooperation of partners is based on four activities:

1. Creating a joint marketing strategy and campaign targeting young audience to popularize and raise awareness of diversity of the European film. Part of this activity is to organize a one-day film marathon simultaneously in all 3 cities / cinemas on the 14th November on the occasion of the European Arthouse Cinema Day, the target group are young adults.
2. Organizing special screenings of European children's films with a lecture on film art (introduction to the artistic and technical characteristics of the audio-visual production, gaining ability to watch the movie with understanding, to be able to make difference between art and kitsch) for primary school students, 4 lectures per cinema, 1 lecture quarterly for 1 or 2 classes (depending on the capacity of cinemas and COVID regulations).
3. Organizing special screenings of European documentary films with a lecture on film art (introduction to the artistic and technical characteristics of the audio-visual production, gaining ability to watch the movie with understanding), for secondary school students, 4 lectures per cinema, 1 lecture quarterly for 1 or 2 classes (depending on the capacity of cinemas and COVID regulations).
4. In order to ensure the sustainability of the project and strengthen human capacity of partners: organizing two-day training for cinema staff and elementary and secondary school teachers aiming to educate people that will facilitate the young audience engagement and increase of demand for the European films in the future activities.
