Project Title: Breaking a Taboo - Visualising alternatives to child marriage of Roma girls

The goal of the project is to raise the level of awareness about the problem of early marriages of Roma girls and to inform the public through the creation of a documentary film - an omnibus composed of 7 stories, one from each partner country.
 
Expected project results:     
  • Creation of 7 documentaries in which three Roma women each from the local Roma Communities of the partner countries show alternatives to child marriages as protagonists,
  •  Creation of an European Documentary film as omnibus of 7 stories generated from the country movies, with English subtitles, that will be screened on three film festivals,
  •  Development of Curriculum for the education of documentary mediators („DocuMedis“) and Manual for their practical work,·      
  • Recognition of the „Education of Docu-Medis“ as adult education measure by the Institute of Adult Edu-cation at the University of Szeged (HU),
  •  21 educated DocuMedis receiving a certificate of the University of Szeged ,
  • ·       70 implemented film events in which the country documentaries are screened in all partner countries and discussion afterwards with the DocuMedis.
