On 25th November in the premises of the Open University Subotica, a round table discussion for employers and other stakeholders was held within the project MATCHDO with the title: “Matching the demands of the economy with the knowledge and skills offered by the labor market”.

The new season starts tonight in the EuroCinema, on 3rd October at 8 PM with the global hit “Diana”, directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel. The new season will be enriched with the newly installed DCP equipment, which enables our audience to enjoy better quality of the projections and sound. The equipment was purchased through subsidies of the EUROIMAGES (European Cinema Support Fund), Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia and Provincial Secretariat for Culture of the APV.

9th International festival of organic products – BIOFEST 2013,will be held on October 15th and 16th in Subotica at the Open University Subotica. Partner state at the 9th BIOFEST is Germany.

In the UK 4 charity organizations jointly organized the new global initiative under the title “Youth Job Creation Summit”. Youth unemployment is identified as one of the greatest global problems in economy. In unstable countries unemployment of young people can reach up to 50-60% of the total number of the unemployed, in Serbia this data is 52%.
The “Youth Job Creation Summit” was held in London from 13th till 15th September, and gathered 150 participants from various countries and organizations. The keynote speakers were Lord Young, enterprise advisor of UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Andris Piebalgs, European Commissioner for Development. The Open University Subotica as a leading institution in lifelong learning in Serbia attended the Summit.
