The lectures have the aim to promote the concept of entrepreneurship, and they are organized by the Open University Subotica, the Local Economic Development Office and the Youth Office, and the lectures will be implemented in September and October in the premises of the Open University.

The aim of the presentations is to present the development path of a successful entrepreneur to graduated students, unemployed persons, pupils finishing secondary school and students, and through this to raise awareness on entrepreneurship, which is the base of social progress.

Since this week's focus was on information-communication technology (ICT), more precisely the successful companies in Subotica working in this field were giving a presentation on their development path – these companies were Infostrud 3 Ltd and Hoću To Ltd.

Mr. Branimir Gajic presented the development concept of the company Infostud 3 Ltd. emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurial spirit, awareness, education and initiatives in the teen ages of life. Also, pro-activity of young is also important as well as the ability to accept failure as a necessity on the way to business success. At the end of the lecture he explained the importance of investing in employees through their continuous training and on the employment policy of this company.

Boris Smit, the representative of the company Hoću To Ltd. presented the reality of internet business in Serbia, the importance of mentality for the development of a business plan as the modalities for overcoming obstacles in the everyday management. Affirmatively the lecturer animated and motivated the participants for research, informing and thinking in the direction of starting a new business.

After the lectures the participants had the chance to raise questions and a direct interactive discussion evolved.

The next lectures of “Being entrepreneurial in Subotica” will be held next Thursday on 16th October in the premises of the Open University Subotica when two companies will introduce themselves in the field of IT and marketing sector.
