The 3rd National Conference on Cross-border Cooperation was held on 26th September in Belgrade, during which the Centre for Project Management of the Open University Subotica received the acknowledgement for good management, efficiency, relevance and sustainability for the project “Crossovers”, which was realized within the IPA CBC Croatia-Serbia Programme.

The results of the projects implemented through the Cross-border and transnational programmes on the territory of Serbia were presented with a review on future perspectives. The participants of the conference had the chance to learn about the best projects financed by the cross-border and transnational cooperation programmes between 2007 and 2012, as well as to see the awarding ceremony for the best projects.

The project “Crossovers” was realized in cooperation between the Association of Film Lovers “RARE” from Vinkovci and the Open University Subotica, as the executive producer of the European Film Festival Palic. The project lasted for 12 months and had the aim to encourage cross-border cultural cooperation, to promote good neighboring relations and to develop the cooperation between young artists in the field of filmmaking and music.

The project “Crossovers” established a network between two festivals in the cross-border region (the European Film Festival Palic and the Festival of Documentary Rock Films Vinkovci), which enabled the exchange of programmes, the education of young filmmakers, and the promotion of good cultural cooperation of all regional film festivals, as well as the promotion of amateur rock documentaries created within the project in 10 cities of the cross-border region.
