On 30th October 2012 at 11 AM a work meeting will be held on the elements of the Common Tourism Strategy of the Micro-Region Subotica-Szeged which is prepared within the project Common Heritage Based Initiatives in Joint Tourism Development.

FOCUS GROUP

The Open University, responsible for the elaboration of the Common Tourism Strategy of the Micro-Region Subotica-Szeged held its first meeting was held on 29th August 2012 as a focus group (workshop) during which the initiative for elaborating the Strategy was presented, as well as its components and elements, methodology of elaboration and key elements of destination promotion, factors of destination development, strategic planning and packaging touristic products, communication with the market through existing and future products, aiming at new segments, channels of sale of products defined by the Strategy, development of promotional tactics, monitoring and management.


Based on the comments received and inputs from that workshop the draft Strategy has been elaborated, which will be presented on the work meeting on 30th October 2012.


The workshop will be organized and moderated by experts in tourist destination management Dr. Bojan Zecevic and Mr. Milan Culic from the Research and Tourism Studies Centre (CTRS) from Novi Sad.


The essence of the project Common Heritage Based Initiatives in Joint Tourism Development is common cultural heritage (secession) as a the base for creating a unique touristic micro-region Szeged-Subotica with a common development strategy, presentation and appearance.
