The closing conference of the project “CityLog” was held on 16th December 2013. in the conference room of the Open University Subotica, where the representatives of the partner organisations presented the results of the project on their behalf, among these results are two development studies on city logistics of the twin cities Subotica and Szeged. 

Dejan Zvekić project manager and executive director of the Open University greeted the gathering. A short presentation of the research and development study on city logistics of the City of Subotica was given by Zoran Stipić, senior expert in the elaboration of the development study of the City of Subotica within the project “CityLog”, while the short presentation on the study and future plans of city logistics in Szeged was presented by Sandor Nagy, one of the senior expert of the development study.

The project idea itself arose from the wish to prove, as well as to develop several possible solutions for the problem of city logistics, which is an issue for both Subotica and Szeged.


The result of the study based on the sample indicated several successful German models, which meet the needs of the city of Subotica, it is possible to find conceptual solutions for the supply of business spaces in the narrowest city centre by the “Zero CO₂ Emission Last Mile Logistic” principle, especially in the city centres open only for pedestrian traffic.


The project “City Logistics helping the city development of Szeged and Subotica” or by acronym “CITYLOG” was implemented by the Open University Subotica in partnership with the South Great Plain Regional Innovation Agency (“Dél-Alföldi Regionális Innovációs Ügynökség Közhasznú Egyesület”) from Szeged within the HU-SRB IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme.
