The third exhibition of caricatures and comics will be opened with the title „Myth and prejudice – how we see Europe and how Europe sees us“ in the Gallery of the Open University Subotica on Friday, 16th May at 2 PM.

The exhibition will be opened by Mr. Michael Devenport, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia. On this occasion, Mr. Jenő Maglai, Mayor of Subotica will also greet the gathering.

The best pieces that were sent to the call for caricatures and comics with the title „Myth and prejudice – how we see Europe and how Europe sees us“, which has been announced for the second year by the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia and by the EU Information Centre on the occasion of the Day of Europe, will be exhibited in the Gallery of the Open University till Sunday 18th May.

By viewing the exhibition you will get an insight to the myths and prejudices appearing in the society, media and the views of citizens about the association of Serbia to the European Union. Some of them will make you smile, but some will make you think or at least give a different perception to the association procedure of Serbia to the EU. This is a good beginning for better understanding and convergence.

The first awarded caricature was by the famous Serbian author Jugoslav Vlahović called "Sizif". The second award was won by Vlada Trtić, named “Association”. The winner of the third award is Špiro Radulović.

Beside the 17 best pieces, there will be an exhibition of the three juries: Predraga Koraksić Corax, Marko Somborac and Aleksandar Zograf.
