The Open University Subotica, the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Subotica and the Youth Office will organize series of lectures during September and October 2014 on the subject of “Being entrepreneurial in Subotica” with the aim to promote the concept of entrepreneurship, self employment and fostering local initiatives. 

During the series “Being entrepreneurial in Subotica” young people will hear success stories directly from entrepreneurs from Subotica in the fields of tourism, food industry, textile industry, internet business, marketing and printing services, furniture production, etc.

The aim of the presentations is to present the development path of a successful entrepreneur to graduated students, unemployed persons, pupils finishing secondary school and students, and through this to raise awareness on entrepreneurship, which is the base of social progress.

We wish to contribute to the development of entrepreneurial spirit in Subotica, emphasizing at first the need for those having an idea, being innovative, creative and imaginative should realize their ideas by work, persistence and perseverance to contribute to the economic progress of our city and of our country.

The first lecture will be held on Thursday, 11th September starting at 5 PM in the room 213 on the 1st floor of the Open University. The entrance to the lectures is free of charge.
