The Open University Subotica in line with its aim to promote lifelong learning, introduced programmes for continuous professional training for teachers and associates. There are five programmes accredited and included in the Catalogue for 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 of the Institute for developing education and upbringing in the Republic of Serbia.

The teacher’s role in education and protection of children connected to Internet:

The general objective of the programme is to raise awareness. Parents, professors, teachers and all who work with children, as well as children have to understand what Internet is. Internet is an integral part of our lives, and as all segments it can be very dangerous but also very useful if properly used.

Preparation and implementation of EU funded projects

The general objective of the programme is the development of capacities of managers and employees of educational institutions applying for EU funds.

Training of teachers on how to handle problematic children

The general objective of the programme is to acquire adequate skills of communication and specific techniques for working with children having behavior ues: lack of attention, aggressive behavior, fear, seclusion…

The training is realized in cooperation with the Research and Education Centre TIM from Novi Sad.


Work in workshop training – interactive methods for team work

The general objective of the training is to encourage participants to individually generate ideas, plan and realize workshops on certain subjects. At the end of he training the participants will be trained to apply efficient and innovative methods in everyday work in a team.

Training for working with problematic parents and families in workshops

The aim of the training is to enable the participants to be efficient in communication with parents and families, which show aggressive behavior: making

contact, motivation for cooperation, making good quality interviews, adequate reaction to divorce…
