The Open University Subotica transferred 100.000,00 RSD on Saturday, 17th May to join the action of helping the citizens affected by the floods. Together with the employees of the Association TERRA’S and the Aarhus Centre the first packages of clothing, footwear and food were taken to the school “Ivan Saric”. 

On the joint meeting on 19th May, the possibilities of further assistance have been discussed. The director of the Open University, Blažo Perović called all employees to help, in line with their possibilities, and the collected food, clothing, hygiene products will be taken to the collecting centres.


Snježana Mitrović informed that the Association TERRA'S donated 10.000,00 RSD and currently they are contacting their members, agrarians about the quantity and the kind of products they can donate. The employees agreed that they will call upon the members to pay the annual membership fee, which will be then transferred to the Government of Serbia to repair the damages.


As the members of the eco-agricultural network of the Carpathian Basin and CEEweb, which have their headquarters in Budapest, and the Network of Organic Producers of Eastern Europe in Berlin, the Association TERRA’S is appealing for aid for our country, said Snježana Mitrović.
According to the development of the current situation, all employees and partnering organizations of the Open University are ready to assist till this situation gets back to normal said Blažo Perović, director.
