On 6th and 7th November 2014, in the organization of the Federal Ministry of Education and Women’s Affairs and the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection of Austria, the 3rd International Stakeholder Conference was held in Vienna connected to the 9th Priority Area of the Danube Strategy, i.e. Investing in People and Skills in the Danube Region. 

From the 14 Danube countries, 13 were represented (the only country missing was Ukraine), the conference had 115 participants coming from various ministries, NGOs and institutions.


The participants of the conference elaborated in detail the 9th Priority Area of the Danube Strategy in small groups, and during the workshops action plans were worked out for the achievement of the determined goals. The organizers also presented potential sources for financing projects, like the Danube Transnational Programme, Erasmus+ and the European Social Fund.


The representatives of the Open University Subotica accepted the invitation of the organizers and actively took part in the conference. During the conference dialogues were initiated concerning potential future cooperation and new ideas for projects.
