The 20th International Festival of Children’s Theatres will be held from 19 to 25 May 2013 in Subotica, with performances from around Vojvodina and other parts of Serbia, as well as and a rerun of the Festival in Szeged, Hungary. For seven days, the Festival will be a host to artists, theatre professionals and students of theatre schools from different parts of Europe and the whole world.

The opening ceremony of the Festival is scheduled for today (Sunday 19 May), at 8pm, with performances of Zvončići Choir from Novi Sad, Youth Arts and Culture Society Mladost and Kamchatka Puppet Theatre. Professor Henryk Jurkowski will officially open the Festival.The International Festival of Children’s Theatres has always been and it remains a place where games are taken seriously, where children’s theatre and art are approached to professionally and thoroughly, while remaining true to its goal – to open theatres for all lovers of children’s art and connect local theatre artists with global trends.
